Three stall merchants, Hogni Red-Arm in Markarth, Anoriath in Whiterun and Marise Aravel in Riften, specialize in raw meat. Certain barrels are internally identified as meat barrels and will always contain raw meat, as well as salt piles. Similarly, salmon can also be found hanging from racks near rivers. In the case of small game (e.g., rabbits and pheasants), already-caught animals can also be found hanging in homes and inns, and can be harvested to obtain the meat. Raw meat can generally be obtained from the bodies of dead animals. Several of these items are also classified by merchants as being raw food, which means that they can be sold to apothecary merchants and innkeepers. This section includes all food items that can be used when cooking. Very small replenishes 2, small replenishes 18, medium replenishes 220 and large replenishes 380. Different foods have different weights of replenishment lowering the hunger meter by set amounts. With the addition of Survival Mode food is also used to replenish hunger. In addition, innkeepers and food vendors will have a selection of food items available for purchase. A limited number of food items are categorized as raw food, and these items can also be sold to apothecary merchants. Most food items can be sold to any innkeeper or food vendor, as well as to general goods merchants (exceptions are noted in the following tables). Nonetheless, a small number of dishes provide quite long-lasting effects, while Elsweyr Fondue is actually more powerful than a number of magicka potions.Īlcoholic beverages like ale, mead, and wine typically provide an immediate boost to stamina but reduced stamina regeneration for a period of time. However, even cooked food typically provides weaker effects than potions do. Raw food provides only trivial benefits, but it can be cooked to create more nutritious items.įood is cheaper and more widely available than potions, and creating cooked food does not involve the Alchemy skill. As such, I prefer not to use this glitch (personally, I use the unofficial patches anyway as they fix a lot of quest bugs).Food items can be eaten to restore your health or stamina. This glitch can result in super-powered equipment very early in the game, making all skill progression and levelling utterly irrelevant. You can also make a super-strong fortify enchanting potion while you're there to vastly increase the strength of any new enchantments, allowing you to make stronger fortify alchemy armor. This will allow you to make an even stronger potion. Drink the new stronger restoration potion and re-equip your gear. Drink a 'Fortify Restoration' potion then equip your alchemy gear, make a new, stronger fortify restoration then remove your gear. In the un-modded game, Fortify Restoration potions also increase the efficacy of 'Fortify Skill' effects, including those from enchantments. The second glitch can be used to make almost infinitely powerful potions. You can equip a Falmer helmet and a circlet at the same time, this allows you to have an extra fortify alchemy enchantment active. There are a few glitches that can be utilized to further augment your potions: GlitchesI do not condone the use of glitches in Skyrim, use at your own risk.īoth these glitches are fixed in the 'Unofficial Skyrim Patch' and 'USLEEP'.
